Why you should read Outwitting the Devil by Napolean Hill and what I got out of it?

Why you should read Outwitting the Devil by Napoleon Hill and what I got out of it?

So I have read quite a few books on self help and personal development.  I think that one of the best books I have read thus far is Napoleon Hill’s Outwitting the Devil.

In the book Napoleon Hill has an interview with the devil on why people succeed and why people fail.  I don’t know if the interview is real or not but it is definitely eye opening and relevant to today’s society and people.

What I got out of the book?

I’m just going to explain my take on what I got out of it at this point in my life.  We have different character traits that determine how far we go in life.  Those character traits are a result of our dominating thoughts.  Our dominating thoughts also determine what happens to us in our life.  It is a loop that Napoleon Hill’s devil calls hypnotic rhythm.  I have also read elsewhere that this can be called our vibration, character, soul, mind, and etc.

For example, John grows up with an abusive childhood.  John has internal filters that tell him that everything is “out to abuse him.”  John will get into abusive relationships, work situations, life situations, and etc that will continually abuse him.  You can call it John’s vibration is attracting those situations or his thoughts are putting him into those situations.

John can change his situation by working on changing his thoughts, or vibration, or whatever else you want to call it.  John has to establish a new “hypnotic rhythm” for his life and that will take effort on his part to constantly work on changing his thinking so that he can break free from his current patterns and establish new ones.  The moment he starts getting new patterns of thought is the moment his life will start improving and he will no longer be in the abusive situations.

That is just a nugget of what I got out of this book and highly recommend it to everyone!

I hope you got some value out of this!
